How High Will the Air Hogs Hawk Eye Fly?

This is the Air Hogs Hawk Eye RC helicopter. It has a built in camera and the quality is pretty good but there is no sound. The Hawk Eye can fly pretty high but is hard to control from a high altitude and you could lose connection with remote. The Hawk Eye is pretty good but can be very hard to control.

heli Camera mount test

After I build 500 size cameras mount, I use same design to build 450 and 600 size in same time. For 450 sizes, I use T-REX 450 and T-REX 450 (w/360 upgrade Kit). LOGO 500 and TT Raptor 50 test 500 and 600 size mount. I am very surprised T-REX 450 is so powerful. The fly time is still over 4 min after put mount and camera. I didn't put control servo and gyro on the camera mount in those tests. The video quality is good for electric power helis, but poor if using nitro power helis. The quality of video and pictures take by standard size digital camera or DV are better than micro size DVR. I plane to release 450 and 500 size for beginner of aerial photography. One axis control (option, you can fix it) and super low price (about USD100, I guess!). I will test it with control servo and gyro. My next plane, I will try to design 2 axes with stabilizer system for advance user.

This is the new spy cam helicopter form SilverLit Special thanks to flyingtoys.com and silverlit.com for providing this model for review. special thanks to www.youtube.com The spy cam is a 3 channel gyro stabilized infra red helicopter that shoots video and audio. the video can be 640 by 480 or 320 by 240 You get about 7 minutes of 640 by 480 video with the 113 meg limit. It comes with software that allows you to change the white balance, resolution and much much more. the flight is amazing and stable as a rock, the video looks great in a lot of different lighting conditions and it is really impressible. the helicopter can be charged with the remote or through the supplied USB cable. it flies for about 8 minutes on a 35 minute charge. It is definitely a lot of fun and has more features then you can shake a stick at, it even comes with a set of wheels that can be put on the skids so you can roll around and film on the ground. the camera can point forward, or down so you can get a wide variety of shots with it easily. I've really enjoyed playing with this helicopter and everyone who's seen it has been really impressed with it, i would say pick one up if you have a chance, it's an audio visual studio that can fly, what more do you need. song -in a heart beat- and -shinny tech 2- artist -Kevin Macleod-

Vario Bell 412 R/C Helicopter Electric Conversion

The fuselage is a Vario Bell 412 painted in PHI (Petroleum Helicopters Inc) colors. Mechanics are Vario Skyfox custom-converted from a nitro engine to electric power. Motor is a Kohler Actro 32-4, battery pack is 12S LiPo, 4900mAH. To let the four-blade main rotor handle easily in forward flight and wind, a Helicommand gyro 'virtual flybar' is connected on the cyclic. Flying weight is somewhere between 16-19lbs. The slow windup of the rotor system is due almost entirely to the smart idea of leaving the original centrifugal clutch in the new electric drive train. Combined with the programmed slow start of the Castle Creations 85HV brushless motor electronic speed control and you now have a very close simulation to a true gas turbine start - without the gas turbine price tag. The electric conversion is a product of Unique Aircraft, owned and operated by master scale heli builder, Darrell Sprayberry.
